Day 79 - WA - The Pinnacles and Farewells

Since we camped right off the beach I woke up at the crack of dawn to get up and explore. Unfortunately the sand was covered with a mat of soggy seaweed so I resorted to walking a little dirt road looking for birds. I didn't see a lot and when others began to stir I went back to help pack up one last time. Soon we were back on the bus heading to Perth - the weather was questionable and it rained off and on. We took a break and visited the Pinnancles - which are large limestone formations created by this process... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pinnacles_Desert ( I could never explain it right) in Nambung National Park. It was neat to see - they sort of looked like a crowd of stone people just coating the landscape. We returned to the road until lunch time where we tried to eat up any food we had left. We reached the Perth airport about 3pm and had to say our first round of goodbyes. It was sad. A bunch of people (myself included) were staying an extra day so we headed out for Fremantle to return to the hostel. The remaining helped Andy and Jarrod clean out the bus and trailer before parting - so sad! Anyway once we actually got to the hostel it was a race for the shower - you definitely need one after 3 days of ocean, sand, and sun. It was amazing needless to say. Around 6pm we headed to the Little Creatures (good beer) brewery for dinner out on the wharf. It was good food and a good way to end an excellent trip. Andy and Jarrod joined us late and we spent the evening laughing and telling stories. We lost some more people to an 11pm flight and eventually the rest of us moved back towards the hostel where I shared a room with two others from the group.

My morning stroll

Mr. Huntsman

The beach - coated in seaweed

I know it's looks little - but that's the West coast and everything we covered. The bottom is Perth.

The Pinnacles

Whoo who rocks!

This one tried to eat Victoria

They go on forever. Ok maybe not - but it seems that way
